Volvo has released more details of the XC60 R-Design
Although the XC60 R-Design doesn’t get any sort of power boost, it does get some tweaks to the setup to provide a more sporty drive. Volvo has stiffened up the chassis and added more damping, and tweaked the steering ratios to give a quicker response. But Volvo reckons this has virtually no impact on ride quality (which begs the question ‘Why didn’t they do it to start with if there’s no trade-off’) and sensibly they have not gone down the lowered suspension route, so the XC60 still has good ground clearance. Volvo has added a rear seat entertainment package option to the XC60
On the cosmetic front, the R-Design gets body coloured lower section, matt silk metallic finish for the trim and chrome tailpipes.

Mitsubishi is taking its Evo X racing. Working with ADR Motorsport - the team that already builds and runs the two-works Mitsubishis currently competing in the British Rally Championship – Mitsubishi will enter a race-prepped Evolution X into the Britcar Championship.Driven by BTCC regular James Kaye, the Mitsubishi works entry will wear the official red and chrome Ralliart livery and make its public debut at this weekend’s Britcar 24-hour race
'It is anticipated that the engine will develop around 400bhp which, together with the Evo’s four-wheel-drive system and inherently good chassis, should make it a highly-competitive package,' said Kaye. If all goes well, Kaye will contest a full season in the 2009 Britcar Championship series.
Chrysler is upgrading the 2014 Dodge Journey SE by giving it all-wheel-drive capability and a V6 engine under the hood. The SE will start out at $25,890 including destination, which is $1,800 cheaper than the more highly equipped SXT model. Dodge's seven-passenger Journey comes with features like 17-inch wheels, four-wheel disc brakes with ABS, seven airbags, 4.3-inch touchscreen, Keyless push-button start and power-heated mirrors.
